The new look Waterfront Bar and Restaurant re-opened this week following an intensive 10-week refurbishment programme.
Yesterday the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel unveiled its new look restaurant, bar and terrace to key figures in the tourism industry and local media. Senator Sarah Ferguson Chariman of the States of Jersey Scrutiny Committee cut the ribbon alongside Chairman of the Hotel holding company, Ted Clucas, and General Manager Fergus O‘Donovan to commemorate the grand opening of The Watefront.
The ceremony was followed by a large opening party in the new areas attended by key clients of the Hotel and industry partners.
Designed by the creative minds at Trevillion Interiors, a UK design company, and crafted by RBS contractors, the newly refurbished areas boast a cosy and contemporary club-feel, complete with new furniture and fittings and freshly built zones to suit different guest needs.
The modern yet classic decor is created with a neutral pallet and the occasional colour splash. The eclectic mix of materials and fabrics used are rich and warm, and subtle elements throughout hint at our nautical setting. Natural daylight floods in through the floor to ceiling windows and at night, ambience is created through candle and mood lighting.
Food lovers can enjoy a bold menu of signature dishes including locally caught St Catherine’s Bay Turbot and Jersey Crab salad, complemented with fresh and quirky daily specials. The style of cooking reflects the Island’s French heritage and the ingredients are fresh, seasonal and wherever possible; locally produced.
‘‘We’ve invested nearly £1min this project and we’re delighted with the results. It’s a great testament to the growth of hospitality on the island and a committment tothe industry for years to come, ensuring we keepmoving forwards and constantly develop“ said General Manager Fergus O’Donovan. “This is the culmination of several months of planning, hard work and extensive refurbishments to the Hotel. We’re very proud to present The Waterfront as an exciting destination for visitors and locals.“
