Mark Jordan, the Atlantic Hotel’s Executive Head Chef, is set to appear on Saturday Kitchen

Executive Head Chef of The Atlantic Hotel and Ocean Restaurant, Mark Jordan returns to the popular programme Saturday Kitchen on BBC1 on 12th May 2012.

Mark will join Chef James Martin live on air at 10am and in keeping with his passion for promoting Jersey nationwide, Mark will feature fresh seasonal Jersey produce in his chosen dish but the actual recipe will be a closely guarded secret until 12th May.

Commenting on Mark Jordan’s third appearance on Saturday Kitchen, Patrick Burke, Owner of The Atlantic Hotel said, “We are delighted that Mark has once again been invited back to the Saturday Kitchen studios to promote both the hotel and Jersey. The timing could not be better for us as May is our busiest booking period and it is also just one week before the start of the Jersey Food Festival”.

The second Jersey Food Festival begins on 19th May, just a week after Mark’s appearance on Saturday Kitchen and the event will, once again, bring together the Island’s top food producers, suppliers and chefs, all sharing their passion for the very best of local Jersey produce.

To celebrate this fabulous food focused week, The Atlantic Hotel team is this year running three very special ‘Atlantic Producer Tours’ all of which will be followed by lunch at Ocean Restaurant as well as two exciting ‘Master Classes’ with Mark Jordan and members of his kitchen brigade – including a tempting Chocolate and Champagne Event with talented Head Pastry Chef Jarek Nowakowski.

Hosted by James Martin, Saturday Kitchen regularly attracts in excess of 3 million viewers each week.

Tune in to BBC1 to see Mark at 10am on Saturday 12th May.
