The deadline has closed and the entries are in for this year’s Jersey Business Awards for Enterprise, and according to event promoters Jersey Business the field is very strong.
The Jersey Business Awards for Enterprise are the premier event in the Island’s business calendar, beginning with a rigorous application and judging process and culminating in the gala awards night and dinner in June.
The Jersey Business Awards for Enterprise are open to organisations small and large, from sole traders to multi-jurisdictional businesses with hundreds of employees. The Awards celebrate business excellence, community engagement and employee development. Previous winners have included pub and brewing companies, wealth management firms and construction businesses.
More than 100 entries have been received for this year’s Awards and Jersey Business Chief Executive Andy Cook says the judges will have a tough time selecting winners in each category: “It’s been a really tough time for business in Jersey so it’s enormously encouraging to see so many good news stories emerging from the applications. Companies have been innovative and resourceful in ensuring they continue to strengthen and grow, which we think demonstrates the resilience of and returning confidence in Jersey’s economy. In June we will truly be celebrating the very best that Jersey has to offer in terms of business leadership.”
In the week leading up to this year’s Jersey Business Awards for Enterprise a series of engaging and informative events is planned, including a business-to-business networking fair at Liberty Wharf, and tailored talks about diversity in business, young entrepreneurship and a focus on the retail sector. The events will feature keynote speakers at a number of venues around the Island.
