Sinels celebrates silver anniversary with £25,000 charity drive

Jersey law firm Sinels is marking its silver anniversary celebrations this year by embarking on a £25,000 fundraising drive for Jersey charities.

This year Sinels is celebrating its 25th anniversary as one of Jersey’s leading law firms and, to celebrate the milestone, the firm’s team of lawyers and support staff are striving to raise £25,000 for local charities by the end of the year.

Working in conjunction with the Association of Jersey Charities, the firm will distribute the funds raised between 25 of Jersey’s smaller charities.

Over the course of the year, staff at the firm will plan and arrange a number of fundraising activities, including a flagship gala dinner, a family fete and numerous quiz nights. In addition, staff intend to raise money by jumping out of a plane, abseiling down the side of a building, organising a golf tournament, hosting a bowling challenge, holding pool nights and participating in various physical endurance challenges.

To kick-start the fundraising drive, a recent quiz night and a fundraising ‘haircut and dye’ raised £1,000 in aid of the Jubilee Sailing Trust in Jersey, which helps physically challenged people to sail the seas on specially adapted boats.

Meanwhile, tying in with the 25th anniversary celebrations, Sinels has also unveiled a major re-brand this week, including a brand new look website at www.sinels.com.

“£25,000 is a significant amount for any firm to raise, but we have a reputation for exceeding expectations – much like the smaller charities we want to support. We have enormous pride in the firm reaching its 25th anniversary and hope our friends, family and clients will support us on our charity drive.

“This charity drive, and the new brand identity we recently unveiled, not only supports our silver anniversary, but our future growth. We are now providing a number of new services for clients, we aim to recruit staff at a senior level across the firm, and I am very encouraged and excited by the future plans for Sinels.”
