Senior Appointment Bolsters Funds Division at Standard Bank

Chris Marshall, Standard BankJersey News, 18  January 2010 – Standard Bank has appointed Chris Marshall to the role of Director in the Funds Administration Team based in Jersey.

Mr Marshall joins the division to head up the funds fiduciary services unit which provides Private Equity Funds, Property Funds, Company Secretarial and Fund Compliance services.

Within this role, he will also take on specific responsibility for raising awareness of the bank’s Private Equity service across the Standard Bank Group.

Karl Foden, managing director of Standard Bank Fund Administration said: “Chris has built up an impressive and extensive background managing Asian and European funds and mid cap Private Equity clients. His appointment strengthens our already well established funds team as we look forward to further developing our funds division in 2010.”

Mr Marshall joins Standard Bank from Mourant in Jersey where he was an associate director within the fund administration business, Mourant International Finance Administration.

He was educated at Hautlieu School in Jersey and the University of Plymouth, where he studied accountancy and finance. Mr Marshall later qualified as an accountant through the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 2003 and went on to achieve membership of the Chartered Institute of Taxation in 2004.

Outside of work Mr Marshall enjoys playing poker and travelling, and has a keen interest in computers and new technology.
