Rossborough in the running for inaugural CIPD Jersey award

Peter Sims, human resources officer at local insurance broker, RA Rossborough (Insurance Brokers) Limited, has been shortlisted in the category for Most Outstanding Student at the inaugural CIPD Jersey awards.

The awards, which are in their first year, have been established to honour outstanding achievement in the field of people management and development.

‘We are delighted that Peter has been shortlisted for this prestigious award,’ said Clive De La Cour, managing director, Rossborough. ‘He is a committed member of our team since 2011 and most recently was instrumental in our securing Chartered Insurance Broker status. He has focused on developing our extensive training and qualifications programme and has been instrumental in maintaining and driving up customer service standards at Rossborough.’

Mr Sims joined Rossborough in July 2011 having gained his Certificate in HR Practice and Certificate in HR Administration. He is responsible for the HR function of the company’s Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man offices and has had significant input into the development and deployment of the company’s training and development programmes.

The CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) is the world’s largest Chartered HR development professional body. Its aim is to drive sustained organisation performance through HR, shaping thinking, leading practice and building HR capability and setting the global benchmark for HR excellence within the profession.

The awards ceremony will take place at the Hotel de France on Friday 19^th October 2012.
