Relais & Châteaux leaders gather in Jersey to discuss luxury travel trends and opportunities
Longueville Manor is playing host to a delegation of leading luxury hoteliers from Sunday 29th April to Tuesday 1st May. The visit will see 36 members of the prestigious hotel group discuss key issues facing the luxury travel market. Whilst in the Island, the group will also see first-hand Jersey’s hospitality offering with visits to Durrell, St Brelade’s Bay and Mont Orgueil Castle planned.
Malcolm Lewis, Owner of Longueville Manor and Chairman of the British and Irish Delegation will co-host this prestigious event with International President of Relais & Châteaux, Jaume Tàpies and Chief Executive Officer, Jean-François Ferret
Commenting on the significance of the visit, Malcolm Lewis says: “Relais & Châteaux is recognised as the leading luxury hotel group in the world. We bring together the heads of the British and Irish members once a year to discuss a number of topics that are affecting, and facing, the hospitality sector. These include the state of international and national markets, impact of technology, customer and industry trends, staffing issues and general fashions affecting our business. This annual event is key to our planning for the year ahead and the sharing of knowledge directly benefits Longueville Manor and the way we plan our business development. Hosting the event in Jersey is also a fantastic opportunity for the Island to showcase its amazing assets. These hoteliers are ambassadors for luxury hospitality and will spread the word about what they see.”
