Transport and Technical Services in conjunction with the St Aubin Project Board, chaired by Connetable Steve Pallett, have recently finalised the detailed plans for the St Aubin Improvement Scheme following consultation over an extended period with all key stakeholders.

Work has already begun on areas around the café and the park but the main project will begin on the 6 January 2014. As both a vibrant business and tourism area for the island in general, access will be maintained for all these important businesses and to all residents living in and around the areas of work. Throughout the project disruption will be kept to a minimum and importantly a reasonable level of parking maintained during the quieter winter months.

Steve Pallett the Connetable of St Brelade said ’After many years of planning and consultation we finally are starting this much needed project that will give St Aubin a new look and ambience whilst providing a safer environment for both visitors and residents. With all major projects I would be grateful for the public’s patience whilst these exciting changes are implemented. I believe the end product will be worth any short term inconvenience’.
