Kevin Lemasney has joined the Locate Jersey Team as the new Director of High Net Worth Residency.
Mr Lemasney will act as an ambassador for Jersey, leading and directing the pro-active marketing and promotion of the Island as an attractive location for potential high net worth individuals. Kevin will be the single point of contact for all potential and existing high net worth applicants and responsible for encouraging relocation of their business interests.
Commenting on the appointment, Minister for Economic Development, Senator Alan Maclean said, ‘It is vital Jersey increases its visibility in this highly competitive segment of the market. We must do this to ensure that we facilitate the relocation of high net worth individuals and their business interests to the island to provide additional tax revenue and employment opportunities for local people.’
The role includes making high-level presentations to wealthy investors or their representatives, raising awareness of the Island’s status as an internationally recognised business and finance centre of excellence and working with States Departments to secure appropriate investment.
Mr Lemasney is no stranger to the Economic Development Department, having held the post of Strategy Development Manager from 2008 till 2011.
For the past year, Mr Lemasney has held the post of Chairman of the One Foundation and been instrumental in the establishment of the Foundation in benefiting sport, education, culture and community projects in Jersey.

The post of Director of High Net Worth Residency is now more integrated into the Locate Jersey team, headed by Director of Inward Investment and International Trade Wayne Gallichan.
Nigel Philpott, the current Director of High Net Worth Residency, will be retiring from full time service at the end of 2012. As part of succession planning and to ensure the smooth transition of current high net worth applicants, he will continue in a part time capacity for 12 months.
Mr Lemasney, who is locally qualified, lives in Jersey with his wife Cora and two children. His interests include travel and he speaks fluent French. In addition to living and working in the UK, France, Switzerland and Jersey, Mr Lemasney has carried out consultancy work in Greece, Malta, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Australia and New Zealand and visited many other countries on business or for pleasure. He is also well known by many involved in grass roots rugby, as Chairman of the Jersey Rugby Football Club Academy for the past five years.
