IT services company 2e2, has appointed Bernie Hopley as Business Development Consultant, with a remit to develop the business continuity site and promote its innovative recovery service.
With over 25 years experience in the IT industry, Bernie began his career as an electronics engineer, worked for a number of IT companies in the UK – training with IBM and HP, before moving to Jersey in 1989. He then set up his own business which he helped grow from four to 40 before moving on to further IT roles on the Island. He has also gained an adult teaching qualification and teaches part-time as an IT tutor at Highlands College, as well as helping to coach a local football team in his spare time.
Jonathan Crichard, Managing Director of 2e2 Channel Islands said: ‘Bernie’s extensive experience of the local IT market strengthens our team immensely. Additionally, his knowledge of business continuity will benefit our valued clients through improvements in our operations and ongoing development of our service. We are thrilled he has joined 2e2.’
Bernie will also be managing operations of 2e2’s Business Recovery Centre and working closely with the Business Development team, helping to deliver client based projects.
