Winners of the National Trust photography competition have been invited to a private exhibition at the Greve de Lecq Barracks this Thursday.
The twelve photographs which have made it into the National Trust for Jersey 2014 calendar will be on display during a drinks reception and prize giving. The overall winner of the competition, whose photo will feature on the front cover of the calendar, will be announced by Managing Director Peter Bourne of Ashburton Investments, the calendar’s sponsors.
Bourne comments: ‘We are delighted to have been able to broaden our support of the National Trust for Jersey alongside the Sunset Concerts through this year-long initiative, to continue to raise awareness of Jersey’s Coastal National Park. The standard of entries for the competition was really high, so it was tough to whittle it down to just twelve photographs.’
The Grève de Lecq Barracks, which are situated within the Coastal National Park, and owned by The National Trust for Jersey, are the ideal place to host the event, which takes place from 6.30-8pm. Other guests include competition judges, President of the National Trust for Jersey Celia Jeune, Chairman of the Coastline Campaign Mike Stentiford and representatives of the Environmental Department.
