A local businesswoman’s luxury stationery company, Ananya Cards, has secured three lucrative national contracts this summer and received recognition of her company’s stunning bespoke wedding designs.
Paperchase, which is regarded as the UK’s leader in innovative, design-led stationery, will be stocking three of the Jersey-registered company’s beautiful Chinese New Year card designs.
www.funkypigeon.com, a fast expanding online stationery company specialising in personalised goods, is taking twelve card designs for Eid, Jewish New Year and Diwali. Meanwhile, four of Ananya Cards’ Eid designs have appeared in selected Toys R Us stores up and down the UK.
Vaishali Shah, who was educated in Jersey and set up Ananya Cards, said: “Paperchase is a wonderful retailer and a good match for Ananya Cards. The Chinese market is an expanding one so we are delighted that it has picked up these designs in particular. We are also thrilled to be involved with funkypigeon.com, which links in perfectly to our own production of personalised and bespoke cards, while Toys R Us, who are keen to promote diverse cultures to their customers, will open up our cards to a brand new audience.”
Vaishali set up Ananya Cards in 2006 as one of a range of services offered by its parent company Creative id, a niche creative and marketing consultancy founded in 2000. She now divides her time between London and Jersey as Ananya Cards continues to grow. The beautiful contemporary cards it designs and produces have been sold in de Gruchy along with many exclusive UK stores, such as Harrods in London, and the company recently unveiled a new, more customer friendly website www.ananyacards.com.
More recent achievements have been Vaishali’s invitation to join the ‘expert panel’ of Wedding Industry Experts along with contributions to two books, ‘Planning the Perfect Asian Wedding’ and ‘Celebration Graphics.’
While many of the elegantly exotic, contemporary cards have an Eastern theme, drawing on Vaishali’s own heritage, she also creates cards for occasions such as the recent Diamond Jubilee, as well as stunning birthday, christening and religious festival cards, and a whole range of personalised stationery suites for weddings.
Vaishali said: “The launch of our new website www.ananyacards.com earlier this year was aimed at opening up our products to a much wider audience and now these contracts will take the “Ananya Cards” name even further afield.”
