Lunchtime music at 16 New Street

Throughout the month of March the National Trust for Jersey is inviting Islanders to enjoy the atmosphere and acoustics of the paneled Club Room at 16 New Street, during a series of four lunchtime concerts.

The concerts, which are the first of their kind, will feature a selection of gifted local musicians performing the works of a diverse range of 18th and 19th century composers, in keeping with the history of the property.

5th March: Krystian Lamb, piano
Bach, Italian Concerto, 1st Movement
Beethoven, Sonata No. 3, 1st Movement
Chopin, Scherzo No.1 in B Minor

12th March: Julie Robinson, violin & Malcolm Whittell, piano
Adagio from Bach’s Sonata for Violin in G minor
Handel, Sonata in A for Violin and Continuo
Beethoven, Romance in F for Violin
Wieniawski, Chanson Polonaise

19th March: Cally Noel, harp and harmonica
A selection of Baroque pieces and traditional Jersey Norman favorites

26th March: Leila Osman, piano
Debussy, Suite Bergamasque Prelude
Chopin, Waltz in C Sharp Minor
Chopin, Nocturne in E Minor
Mompou, Cancion y Danza
Clementi, Sonatina
Becvarovski, Polonaise

All funds generated go towards supporting the role of the National Trust for Jersey in preserving the historic properties and natural environment in its care.
