Local Companies Boost Christmas Festivities For Community Charity

The Inclusion Project, a local community charity, will receive a welcome boost this Christmas thanks to the support from Voisin law firm and Volaw Group.

A number of exciting festive activities have been organised for The Inclusion Project’s young members including; a Winter Ball, Ice Skating and a Christmas Party. The ice skating event has been organised for Monday 9th December at 7:30pm and Thursday 12th December at 3:30pm. The Christmas Party will be held at La Pouquelaye Youth Club on Friday 13th December from 6pm, making the full week a period of celebration and fun. The staff will be dressing up in fancy dress outfits for the Christmas Party and the young members will have the opportunity to play a variety of Christmas inspired games.

The Inclusion Project supports 11-25 year olds with special needs. The team runs four youth clubs a week around the Island and a number of exceptional programmes designed to enable development and also offer parents much needed respite.

Voisin law firm and Volaw Group have chose to support ‘The Inclusion Project’ as their primary charity at the beginning of 2013. Over the year Voisin and Volaw employees have organised a cooking initiative with Celebrity TV chef Shaun Rankin, a day out at Durrell and an initiative to coincide with Autism Awareness month.

Georgina Jeffries, Head of Marketing, Voisin and Volaw, commented:

‘All members of staff at Voisin and Volaw enjoy the Inclusion Project initiatives and we have a hands-on approach to sponsorship. We can’t wait to see the young people enjoying their Christmas activities. Our support will not be ending in the New Year, we are already organising events and fundraising activities for 2014 and look forward to supporting the charity.’

Leana D’orleans, Senior Youth Worker, The Inclusion Project, added:

‘The Inclusion Project was set up to improve the lives of children with special needs. Often young people come to us feeling really isolated, they think that there is no one else like them, so we show them that they are not alone and then build on their confidence from there. We are so excited about our winter programme activities and we are all very grateful to Voisin and Volaw for making it possible. The young members have thoroughly enjoyed the initiatives organised this year and are very much looking forward to the activities planned for 2014.’
