Liberation Group have been shortlisted in two categories at this year’s prestigious Publican Awards.
Up against some of the biggest names in the industry, Liberation Group will be battling it out with Bath Ales and Thwaites Inns of Character for the title of Best Managed Pub Company and Brakspear and Wadworth in the Best Tenanted and Leased Pub Company category.
Attended by 1,200 top pub company personnel and key suppliers, the Publican Awards are a highlight in the industry calendar.
The final stage of judging took place on Monday and included a presentation and series of panel interviews by a team of experts, city analysts, journalists, top industry consultants and industry body chiefs. Mark Crowther, Chief Executive of Liberation Group, was in London earlier this week for the presentations and is hopeful for success.
Mr Crowther commented: ‘The Awards are extremely well respected within the industry and the fact that we’ve reached the final once again is testament to the hard work of the team and the quality of our product. The judging process is very thorough; we put in our initial submissions last year and this was followed by mystery shopping and a programme of HQ visits. We’ve worked hard to get to this stage and I’m pleased with how our final presentations went so it’s just a case of waiting for the results to be announced now. The awards evening is well known for being quite an occasion so we’re looking forward to being a part of it next month.’
The Publican Awards will be presented by award-winning comedian and TV presenter John Bishop at a glittering awards ceremony on Tuesday 25th March at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane.
