Liberation Group flies flag at the Cateys
Liberation Group (www.liberationgroup.com) has been named one of the best pub companies in the British Isles by Caterer and Hotelkeeper Magazine.
Liberation Group is the leading pubs, bars and eateries business in the Channel Islands and last week its position in the industry nationally was recognised with a shortlisting in the Pub and Bar Award at the Cateys, acknowledged as the leading awards for the hospitality industry and ‘the one to get’.
Liberation Group has already been named as the leading business in Jersey at the 2012 Enterprise Awards and the shortlisting in the Cateys demonstrates the company’s ability to punch above its weight among some of the best-known businesses and brands in the UK.
Overall winner in the category was the Peach Pub Company, a small niche pubs, restaurant and accommodation business with 15 properties, mainly in the Midlands and Home Counties.
Liberation Group Chief Executive Mark Crowther said: ‘We were honoured to be shortlisted among such prestigious company. The Awards night was a glittering affair with the ‘royalty’ of the catering and hospitality world there and it was great to be able to fly the flag for the Channel Islands and show the rest of the country what we are capable of here. I’m also delighted for every person who works for Liberation Group because they work so hard to make our business what it is. On the back of the Enterprise Awards earlier this year, this recognition is very important to all of us.’
The Caterer and Hotelkeeper Awards 2012 were announced at the Grosvenor Hotel in London before an audience of more than 1,000 industry decision makers and invited guests.
