You wait years for a good bottled beer…then two come along at once!
Liberation Group are excited to announce that their Liberation IPA is now available to buy in bottles, which means Islanders can enjoy the popular ale at home. This is the first time in five years that the Group have released a new bottle range and it will be followed closely by the bottling of Herm Island Gold next month.
The new format follows high demand for these two much loved tipples. Liberation IPA has long been Liberation Group’s most popular guest ale whilst Herm Island Gold, previously exclusive to the Island of Herm, has until now made only occasional appearances on tap in Jersey and Guernsey.
Mark Crowther, Chief Executive of the Liberation Group, believes the new launches are timely: ‘We wanted to make it possible for Islanders to enjoy their favourite ales at home as well as in Liberation Group pubs across the Channel Islands. Spring is definitely on the way and people are looking ahead to when they can dust down their garden furniture and fire up the barbeque. Bottled beers make the perfect accompaniment to al fresco dining and it’s fantastic that we’re able to offer Islanders more choice this year.’
A 4.8% Abv traditional India Pale Ale, Liberation IPA is a rich, golden bitter, mashed with Maris Otter and Crystal malts. A coriander style citric hop is derived from the finest New Zealand hops Motueka and Nelson Sauvin, leaving a crisp balanced finish.
Brewed especially for the Island of Herm in 2011, Herm Island Gold is 4.2% Abv and light-golden in colour with caramel flavours. It is a perfectly balanced, light ale with a sweet maltiness from Maris Otter Pale Ale and Crystal malts. The citric / floral hop is derived from Fuggles, Goldings and several continental varieties.
Liberation IPA is available to buy in 500ml bottles from victorhugo.je and all good retailers across the Channel Islands. Bottles of Herm Island Gold will be available to buy from the beginning of April.
