Liberation Group Ale Fit for Champions
They came home Champions and now they’ll be able to toast their success with their very own beer after this weekend’s last game of the season.
Jersey Rugby Club topped National Division 1 by defeating Coventry last weekend and earned promotion to the Championship – the second tier of English Rugby. It’s an astonishing achievement for Ben Harvey and the team and now Liberation Group is going to help them celebrate their victory with Champions’ Ale.
Brewed at Liberation Group’s Jersey brewery, the beer will be available at Jersey Rugby Club this weekend, and at other Liberation Group pubs and bars around the Island including St Marys, The Halkett and the Post Horn.
Liberation Group Chief Executive Mark Crowther said: ‘Liberation Group is as proud as the rest of Jersey is at this fantastic achievement. Ben Harvey and the boys have been terrific ambassadors for the Island and we felt it was only right to pay tribute to their success by dedicating this beer to them.’
Jersey Rugby Club Chairman Bill Dempsey said: ‘Jersey Rugby Club has become a beacon for everything that the Island stands for: entrepreneurialism, team spirit, courage and determination. The Club has a history of which we are all very proud and promotion to the Championship marks a whole new chapter. We’re very grateful to Mark Crowther and the team at Liberation Brewery for marking the occasion in such a generous way.’
Champions’ Ale will be 4.4% ABV moreish golden ale with pronounced maltiness balanced by a light hop finish.
