Transport and Technical Services (TTS) is asking the public what they think about a proposal to install traffic calming along with a virtual footpath on Rue de Haut in St Lawrence.
The Transport and Technical Services Department, with the support of the Connetable and Deputies of St Lawrence, propose to carry out a traffic calming and highways improvement for pedestrians on La Rue de Haut in St Lawrence.
It is proposed to create a footpath, with a minimum width of 1.2m along the south side of Rue de Haut, from Kincaid Gardens to the boundary of Bel Royal School. The surface of the footpath will be constructed in block paving and be at the same level as the road. The edge of the footpath will be defined using wooden bollards spaced at approximately 20m intervals. West bound traffic will be required to give way to east bound traffic by manoeuvring between the bollards.
Members of the public can view drawings of the project in the consultations section on www.gov.je , at St Lawrence Parish Hall, or at TTS South Hill reception. Comments can be sent by email to email@example.com or by post to the Department at its South Hill address.
