JT Group (JT) announces the appointment of Aaron Payne to the role of Managing Director for its recently acquired subsidiary, Worldstone.
The announcement comes six months after JT’s acquisition of Worldstone as part of its commitment to acquire complementary businesses that deliver synergy and profitable growth, wider reach and an increased range of products and services. Worldstone has enabled JT to expand its provision of managed services to its global client base, helping to take the Group a step closer to achieving its vision of becoming the partner of choice for global telecoms innovation.
Worldstone’s interim Managing Director, Tim Ringsdore, will manage the hand-over of day-to-day operations to Mr Payne over the next couple of months, ensuring a seamless transition before returning to his role as Managing Director for JT’s Global Enterprise, while still overseeing Worldstone as a core part of his portfolio.
Mr Ringsdore said: “Since we acquired Worldstone last year I have been at the very forefront of integrating Worldstone into the JT Group, which has now progressed to the point where we are ready to introduce new leadership to take forward the business. Aaron has the skills and expertise that will make this happen and I am looking forward to working alongside him as he settles into his new role.”
Mr Payne will be based in JT’s Worldstone headquarters in London. Of his appointment he said: “Worldstone has an excellent reputation for delivering and supporting bespoke, intelligent and innovative global communication solutions and I am delighted to be joining them at this pivotal stage of their development as part of the JT Group of companies. Our key objective is to continue to deliver real value and excellent service for our customers and I look forward to helping to drive this forward.”
Graeme Millar, CEO of JT Group, said: “Aaron is a motivational leader with a strong sales and marketing background. With international experience he is well-equipped to bring an innovative approach to Worldstone, as well as provide the commercial and operational direction that will enable the business to develop into new markets and achieve profitable revenue growth. We welcome Aaron on board and wish him every success in his career at Worldstone and the JT Group.”
He added: “Our ongoing strategy is focused on becoming the partner of choice for global telecoms innovation. Since acquiring Worldstone last year we have been able to develop our global managed services offering to key sectors such as retail, business services, manufacturing, travel and transport and in particular our Channel Island based financial services clients.”
Prior to joining Worldstone, Mr Payne was interim business leader and strategic sales adviser to leading emerging software and Unified Communications (UC) cloud based companies, and global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) organisations. Throughout his 28 year career, Mr Payne has held senior roles in a number of global IT solution and telecom businesses, including Siemens, Avaya and Polycom and he was also co-founder of Touch Telecom Limited.
