Jersey Spa Wins Prestigious National Award
Jersey News, 1 December 2009 – Les Roches Spa and Beauty has just been crowned as ‘UK Spa and Salon of the Year’ by Thalgo, the global leader in marine spa therapies and cosmetics.
Les Roches Spa and Beauty, situated in St Ouen Jersey, competed against a multitude of highly commended Spas from across the United Kingdom for the prestigious title of ‘UK Spa and Salon of the Year’. This highly respected and nationally acclaimed award recognises the provision of excellence in the Thalgo treatment experience. Les Roches Spa is the first in the Channel Islands to receive this title.
Marian Green, Director of Thalgo UK, highlighted the key points to this achievement, “Les Roches Spa and Beauty set itself apart on three fronts: its commitment to the training and development of its staff; the quality and delivery of its services; and the width and breadth of its treatments.”
The Thalgo Awards are presented annually following a selection process which is set to strict criteria. One element of the selection process is the use of mystery shoppers whom experience each spa’s client service, quality of treatments and product knowledge first hand, without the spa knowing. This is particularly notable as the spa must deliver the most professional service at all times and with every single client to walk through its door.
Catherine Cowley, Spa Manager said, “We are absolutely delighted. Our aim is to be the best spa and beauty salon in the Channel Islands. We put 110% commitment into our treatments, training and client service. It’s just wonderful for the Spa and its therapists to be recognised in such a way!”

These services include a full range of massage, facials, nails, beauty services, make-up and specialist treatments for anti-ageing such as micro-dermabrasion, skinlight therapy for the treatment of acne, pigmentation and scarring, plus toning and slimming treatments.
