A set of eight stamps showcasing Jersey’s beautiful summer landscapes will be issued by Jersey Post on 30 June 2014, celebrating the official arrival of summer.

The stamps form the first part in the series entitled ‘Jersey Seasons’ and feature stunning photographs taken by local Jersey photographer Andy Le Gresley, portraying the Island’s pretty bays and breath-taking coastal panoramas.

Depicted on the stamps are the quiet and pretty bay of Belcroute, Seymour Tower at high tide, Beauport Bay with its giant pink granite boulders, the White House at St Ouen’s Bay, the Fisherman’s Chapel at St Brelade’s Bay, magnificent south coast rocks, reflections of Archirondel Tower and an underwater view at Les Écréhous.

The 69p stamp, showing the ancient Fisherman’s Chapel at St. Brelade’s Bay surrounded by beautiful flowers features the logo of the Small European Postal Administrations (SEPAC) and will be included as part of the SEPAC 2014 joint stamp issue.

Jersey Post’s Philatelic Marketing Executive, Rachel Norris, commented: “Jersey is beautiful during the summer months and we’re really proud to be issuing a set of stamps showcasing the Island’s most picturesque coastal spots. Andy Le Gresley has captured the vivid colours of the island’s sun-kissed summer landscapes perfectly.

“Jersey stamps are seen by people all over the world so this issue is a brilliant way of introducing people to the Island and perhaps encouraging them to come and visit some of the places featured on the stamps.”

The stamps will be available to buy from all branches of Jersey Post from 30 June 2014. Philatelic stamp products such as stamp sets, First Day Covers and Presentation Packs will be available from the main post office at Broad Street, St Helier, Jersey, on issue day and can be ordered now at: www.jerseystamps.com or by phoning the Jersey Philatelic Bureau on: 00 44 (0)1534 616593.
