Jersey IT security specialists Softek announce a completely free licence of Cososys Endpoint Protector for small business
Softek, a Jersey headquartered Value Added Distributor (VAD) of IT Security solutions and cloud services, today announced the immediate availability of a free version of the leading device control and data leakage prevention software solution from CoSoSys.
The 10 user ”Endpoint Protection Appetizer Licence” will provide all Channel Island Small Businesses with instant, advanced security for their networks ‐ including all future updates and upgrades at zero cost.
Softek recently surveyed over 500 existing customers in both the UK and Channel Islands, and found that over 70% had no controls in place to control device use or data movement on their computer networks.
CoSoSys Endpoint Protector (EPP) is a scalable and flexible software solution which provides Businesses of all sizes the ability to control what, and how, portable devices such as USB drives, CD/DVD and other removable devices can be used on the organisations computers. EPP can also track, restrict and block all types of Data from entering or leaving an organisation via any route without authorisation ‐ providing true Data Leakage Prevention (DLP). iPhones, iPads and Android devices can also be controlled by EPP ‐ which are the new data loss threat for businesses.
“Every size organisation needs the tools to control removable devices like USB memory keys and mobiles, and prevent data leakage, but its generally not at the top of the budget priority list – especially small organisations. In these times of great austerity, this offer is superb news for cash‐strapped Small Businesses, allowing them to protect their networks fast and for free.” commented Mike Bienvenu, Technical Director at Softek.
“While it is being offered at no cost, this is still professional software. EPP is excellent, best‐of‐breed, and fully featured software suitable for large Enterprise as well as Smaller Business use.”
“The free EPP licence will enable any Business to protect their network of up to 10 computers and up to 5 iOS or Android devices at absolutely no cost. With most things free there is usually a catch, but with the EPP software there genuinely are NO strings attached. The licence also includes all future updates and upgrades!” concluded Bienvenu.
