Leading international financial services company, IFM Group, continues its growth by recruiting 15 new colleagues in Jersey and Switzerland, and promoting 8 existing members of staff in Jersey.
Amongst the new colleagues is a senior appointment in Hilary Arthur. Hilary is an Investment Manager in Jersey, with nearly 20 years’ experience in asset and portfolio management in client relationship roles, as well as private banking. Hilary was also part of the set up team that established the investment services and monitoring arm for a prominent offshore company.
IFM Group Chairman Eric Axford comments “We are delighted to welcome all these highly experienced professionals and to congratulate the eight existing staff members on their promotions. We continue to attract motivated and experienced professionals in financial services. The eight promotions show the commitment we make to retain good people and encourage them to develop their careers.”
Eric added “These latest appointments reflect our continuing investment to provide the best possible service to clients. Earlier this year, IFM conducted an independent feedback and satisfaction programme among a cross section of clients and professional colleagues which showed how important and valued our teams are to them.”
IFM’s Head of HR Linda Pinnock, who was herself promoted to Associate Director in 2012, said “I continually hear from recruitment agencies and candidates applying for jobs that IFM is regarded as a very good place to work. We are told we have an excellent reputation for low staff turnover, genuinely encourage promotion from within, and have a family-friendly approach. Many of our applicants come through our own staff recommending the firm.”
Linda, who joined IFM as a receptionist in 1984, is a good example of the firm’s commitment to train, develop and retain staff. The firm has encouraged her interest and skills in HR and she has achieved the highest qualifications through the Institute of Personnel and Development, becoming a Fellow in 2006.
The recent appointments and promotions bring IFM’s complement of people around the world to 12 directors and 75 staff members. The company is retained by clients and manages over 2,000 entities worth >£900million and is a member of the world’s 8th largest accountancy services network.
