HAWKSFORD has appointed a new business development director.

Matt Haynes, 37, will be responsible for driving the company’s business development activity and playing an active role in the development of relationships with both clients and intermediaries.

Mr Haynes joins Hawksford from Ogier where he had business development responsibility for private wealth and a number of corporate areas. Prior to Ogier he was head of business development at Barclays Wealth Structuring.

‘We are delighted to have Matt on board to lead our ever-growing client services team in business development,’ said Peter Murley, chief executive, Hawksford.

‘Matt will be an asset to the business as he brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in client relations across the industry.’

Mr Haynes’ hobbies include skiing, cycling, running and spending time with his wife and child. He is originally from the UK but has lived in Jersey with his family for six-and-a-half years.

Hawksford is an independent wealth structuring company specialising in preserving and enhancing wealth. Clients range from small and large corporates to ultra high net worth individuals. Hawksford acquired Trustcorp Jersey Limited in early 2012 and Swiss based boutique law firm, L-S&S GmbH, in July last year. Hawksford also opened its Dubai office in March 2011 and now employs 160 people across three jurisdictions.
