Families remain safer with Airtel-Vodafone Share Plan
Jersey News, 29 March 2010 – With immediate effect, all new and existing pay monthly customers can take advantage of Airtel-Vodafone’s new Family Share Plan offer which allows customers to have up to six users on one account.
This new plan is ideal for families who have children old enough to want and use a mobile phone. One of the parents can be the primary account holder and up to five members of the rest of the family can be added on to the same account. This provides parents with an easy way to keep an eye on how much money their children are spending on their phone calls and more importantly, who they are calling. With recent wide-ranging media reports on children being targeted through social media website and mobile phone calls, this type of plan is a fail-safe way for parents to check who their children are speaking to and how often, by checking the itemised bill sent to them each month.
“It is unfortunate that parents have to keep such a close eye on their children’s communications in today’s social climate however, we believe that plans that include methods for parents to monitor calls made from their account will assist them in supervising their children’s activities and, in turn, ensuring their safety,” explains Airtel-Vodafone’s CEO Iain Williams. “Airtel-Vodafone hope’s local families will take advantage of the benefits of this great service innovation.
The Family Share Plan promotion is available to all new and existing pay monthly customers and can be used on any pay monthly Handset or SIM only plans. The plan allows a primary account user to allocate up to five other people to be part of their plan and allows them all to share the minutes and texts within the monthly bundle amount chosen.
All calls and texts made between all six users of the account whilst within the Channel Islands, are free of charge and do not eat into the number of minutes allocated to the plan they choose.
If islanders are not already Airtel-Vodafone customers, they can keep their JT/Wave or Sure/C&W mobile number to move to Airtel-Vodafone for free today. This promotion will remain available until further notice.
