EXPANDED ROLE FOR SURE’S HEAD OF COMMUNICATION
SURE’s head of communications Lisa McLauchlan has been given responsibility for the company’s retail operations.
Mrs McLauchlan joined the company in January 2009 as head of marketing and brand and 18 months later was promoted to the role of head of communications. Her new expanded role will give her responsibility of the retail operations in Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man as well as its team of more than 30 staff.
‘Retail is a core focus for Sure in all three islands. We want to be accessible to our customers so that they can come into our shops and get the very highest level of service. The shops are Sure’s main point of contact with customers and so it’s extremely important to us that the experience is right,’ she said.
‘There are obvious synergies between our marketing communication and the way we interact with our customers in our shops, so by bringing these parts of the business together, we can make processes more efficient and improve the customers’ experience.’
Mrs McLauchlan, who is married with two children, moved to Jersey from the Cayman Islands where she worked for Cable & Wireless.
‘Having worked in marketing for most of my career and in the telecoms industry since 2006, I have the right skills and experience for the role. More importantly, I have an excellent team who care passionately about the delivering service and products that we offer at Sure.’
Eddie Saints, chief executive of Sure, said Mrs McLauchlan’s expanded role was an important one to the company’s success.
‘Sure’s retail staff are the face of the company and are often what our customers judge us on. We want to ensure that we offer the very best in customer experiences and I am confident that Lisa will deliver that,’ he said.
