Ernst & Young’s latest promotions further strengthens their management team across the Channel Islands
68 people at Ernst & Young have recently been promoted or progressed to the next stage of their careers.
Included in the promotions are three to Senior Manager Milena Mitova in Assurance and Anthony Chandlen and Mandy Connolly in Tax, and three to Manager James Brown in Assurance and Moira Ashby and Kelvin Whelan in Tax.
Milena Mitova, based in the Guernsey office is originally from Bulgaria where she worked in the Ernst & Young office in Sofia. She moved to Guernsey last year and said: “I have worked for Ernst & Young for more than ten years, during which time I have gained extensive global experience.” Milena’s current portfolio includes LSE listed property funds, private equity funds and international holding companies spanning numerous geographical locations.
Mandy Connolly, a Chartered Tax Adviser, joined Ernst & Young last year, bringing with her 20 years of tax experience. She said: “I made the move to Ernst & Young because of the opportunities to be involved in diverse and challenging client assignments. I also like the strong focus on personal development and career progression.” Mandy specialises in offshore trust planning and employment related trust structures.
Anthony Chandlen, a member of both the Association of Taxation Technicians and the Chartered Institute of Taxation, has over 12 years of experience in financial services and has been with Ernst & Young since 2005. His role involves him supporting clients in the financial services and asset management sectors. Anthony is also part of Ernst & Young’s local FATCA (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act) team, which is an integrated part of their global FATCA team. This role involves him advising clients on the implications of FATCA and providing solutions as to how they can implement pragmatic approaches to address the challenges.
