Jersey’s Atlantic Hotel has been specially selected as the venue to host an incredibly exclusive Dom Pérignon dinner on Thursday 17th November 2011.

Just 24 guests will attend the private dinner at the Michelin-starred hotel. To mark this special occasion, Executive Head Chef Mark Jordan has created a remarkable four course menu, paired with some of the finest offerings from Champagne Dom Pérignon.

Patrick and Treena Burke will host the rare and elegant evening event along with Master of Wine Richard Bampfield and Derek Langton, Regional Account Manager of Moët Hennessy UK Limited. Richard is one of only 250 people in the world who hold this prestigious title and he was specifically invited to attend the event due to his incredible knowledge, some of which will be shared with the guests during the evening.

Commenting on the occasion Patrick Burke, Owner and Managing Director of The Atlantic Hotel said “We are absolutely thrilled and honoured to have been selected as the venue for this Dom Pérignon evening. It is a real privilege for us to welcome both Derek Langton of Dom Pérignon and Master of Wine Richard Bampfield to Jersey and to The Atlantic Hotel. We are very much looking forward to hosting this very special dinner and learning more about the unique qualities of the iconic Dom Pérignon champagnes.”

Exclusive Dom Pérignon dinners such as this are exceptional even by UK standards, as are the champagnes which will be served. Along with a selection of fine vintages an incredibly rare Dom Pérignon ‘Oenothèque’ 1996, (Dégorgée 2008) has been selected to accompany the Guinea Fowl course.

‘Oenothèque’ is a term given to certain Dom Pérignon champagnes which, because of their outstanding vintage are held back in a ‘museum’ of the very best wines, and of which only a very few are released.

Derek Langton, Regional Account Manager of Moët Hennessy UK Limited said, “We at Dom Pérignon hold a small number of exclusive dinners such as this from time to time. The Atlantic Hotel provides the perfect venue for our event which is designed to give guests a unique opportunity to experience a range of diverse vintages of Dom Pérignon.”
