Deutsche Bank has made a series of senior appointments to strengthen its risk and compliance teams in the Channel Islands.
Andrew Trachy joins Deutsche Bank as Head of Risk Management for Deutsche Asset and Wealth Management in the Channel Islands and Cayman, whilst the Bank’s Compliance team has also increased its presence in Jersey with the appointments of Christine Jervier and Pippa Davidson as Senior Compliance Advisors.
Joining from HSBC Private Bank where most recently he was Deputy Chief Operating Officer in the Channel Islands, at Deutsche Bank Andrew is responsible for all aspects of operational risk management, risk monitoring and reporting. Based in Jersey, Andrew will work closely with the Bank’s Compliance team to ensure a seamless integration between business risk management and the compliance function, whilst his team also has secondary level oversight for liquidity, market, credit and reputational risk.
With an International Diploma in Financial Crime Prevention, Andrew is a member of the International Compliance Association and a Prince2 ‘Project Management’ registered practitioner.
Within the Compliance team, Christine will provide primary compliance coverage for the Bank’s Corporate Services, Banking and Investment divisions in Jersey and act as Deutsche Bank’s Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
With over sixteen years’ experience in compliance in London and Jersey, both as a consultant and latterly as a Director with money laundering and compliance roles with Oppenheimer Europe Limited, she has a deep knowledge of international financial services. An Associate of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment and a Member of the International Compliance Association, Christine also holds the International Diploma in Compliance.
Pippa, who joins Deutsche Bank’s Compliance team from Fairway Fund Services Limited, will provide primary coverage for compliance related matters in respect of Deutsche Bank’s funds business.
With considerable expertise in drafting bespoke compliance frameworks for managed entities, Pippa also has significant experience in the support, supervision and reporting for a wide range of funds across a number of asset classes and strategies. An honours graduate from Oxford Brookes University, Pippa is a member of the International Compliance Association and holds the International Diploma in Compliance and Certificate in Fund Administration.
