de Gruchy announces further significant investment in top local and international brands

This weekend will see the re-opening of de Gruchy’s stationery department; an important milestone in the store’s ongoing investment programme of both the brands available and the support it lends to local businesses.

Following the installation of a presence from Durrell, as part of de Gruchy’s charity of the year activity, the store is supporting two more established Jersey businesses – Jersey Pottery and Jersey Pearl, with the opening of dedicated areas for each.

‘We have always been committed to supporting the local community,’ explains owner Neville Moore, Managing Director of De Gruchy. ‘We are delighted to be offering our customers the renowned produce that Jersey Pottery and Jersey Pearl have to offer, alongside our existing Jersey and Durrell merchandise. In today’s market it is vital that we work together to champion the excellence of our local products. These unique brands, coupled with great customer service and value will help us continue to serve our loyal local customers with products they want.’

The store is also celebrating the launch of internationally renowned brand Ordning & Reda within the new look stationery department. The Swedish company, which is normally only found in large cities, was attracted to de Gruchy because of the reputation of the store and unique potential within the Jersey customer base. The brand will be allocated a significant area in the store offering Jersey customers a selection of contemporary high quality notebooks, bags, accessories and more, meaning they no longer need to head to Selfridges for their products! The official launch of the new stationery department will take place on the 10^th May.

Not to be left out, the luggage department is also having a makeover with a new dedicated area for Mulberry travel and business as well as the addition of several new brands. A new confectionary selection will ensure that every sweet tooth, young and old is catered for.
