A number of Channel Islands public relations individuals and teams have been recognised in the shortlist for this year’s Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) ‘South of England and Channel Islands PRide Awards’.
In total, more than sixty of the South of England’s and the Channel Islands’ leading public relations teams, consultancies and individuals are named in the shortlist for the region’s premier public relations awards scheme, which expanded this year as an amalgamation of the CIPR South West, Home Counties South, Wessex and Channel Islands regions.
From the Channel Islands, Liquid is named in the ‘Outstanding Public Relations Consultancy’ category; Harriet Black, Senior Account Executive at Orchard PR, is shortlisted in the ‘Outstanding Young Communicator’ category; and Sure has made the cut for the ‘Best Event’ category for the Sure Big Screen event.
Commenting on the announcement, Adam Riddell, Chair of the CIPR Channel Islands Group, said:
“This is a special year for the CIPR PRide Awards in the South of England and the Channel Islands, as we welcome entries from across all four regions for the first time. As a result, there has been an even higher standard of entries across the board. Channel Islands PR professionals have a track record of doing well in regional and national CIPR awards, and for our region to be so well represented once again in an expanded and more competitive region this year reflects the high standards of PR practice we can demonstrate here. I look forward to the awards ceremony.”
The results of the 2014 CIPR South of England and Channel Islands PRide Awards will be announced at a black-tie awards night on Friday 21 November 2014 at the Bristol Marriott Hotel City Centre. Tickets are now available via the CIPR website (www.cipr.co.uk).
