With just over 48 hours to go until the big draw, the minimum guaranteed first prize for the Channel Islands Christmas Lottery has reached £666,000.

Tickets went on sale in October and retailers are expecting to see a last minute surge over the next two days as Islanders rush out to buy their tickets ahead of Thursday’s draw. The first prize will continue to rise in line with the number of tickets sold and will be a welcome Christmas present for the lucky holder or holders of the winning ticket.

Jersey Charities who rely on grants made possible from the proceeds of the Lottery will be very happy to hear of the increased prize with lottery organisers in Jersey continuing to encourage Islanders to support local charities with this year’s Lottery campaign message ‘have fun, win big, do good’.

Tickets for the Channel Islands Christmas Lottery cost £1 and are available from retailers across the Island. To help people find their nearest Lottery retailer, keep up to date with the rising first prize and find out more about the charities that benefit from the Lottery, Lottery organisers in Jersey are encouraging residents to visit their Channel Islands Lottery in Jersey Facebook page

In addition to the first prize, Islanders can also win a £50,000 second prize, a £25,000 third prize and forty five £500 prizes, as well as instant cash prizes of up to £5,000. The winning numbers will be announced on Thursday 20th December 2012.
