Strong ticket sales mean that the guaranteed first prize for the Channel Islands’ Christmas Lottery has risen again to a minimum of £420,000.
Ticket sales for the Christmas Lottery continue to be ahead of last year with the current first prize having risen by £30,000 in just one week. This is good news for local charities, many of who rely on grants made possible as a result of the Lottery.
The first prize will continue to increase in line with the number of tickets sold and lottery organisers and charities are hoping the jackpot will top last year’s record of £751,500. Lottery organisers in Jersey are encouraging Islanders to continue to support local charities by promoting the new Lottery campaign message ‘have fun, win big, do good’.
Tickets for the Channel Islands Christmas Lottery cost £1 and are available from retailers across the Island. In addition to the rising first prize, Islanders can also win a £50,000 second prize, a £25,000 third prize and forty five £500 prizes, as well as instant cash prizes of up to £5,000. The winning numbers will be announced on 20th December 2012.
