Channel Islands PR professionals complete CIPR internal communications certificate
SIX PR professionals have been the first in the Channel Islands to complete the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Internal Communications Certificate.
Leonie Herve from Santander, Allison Rumens and Adele Morrow at Specsavers, Annalisa Detassis from Generali, Hayley Webb from Blue Islands and Nicky Martini from RBS International have all gained the professional qualification.
The course covers the key concepts of internal communication including techniques, theories and skills needed to develop effectively as an internal communication professional.
The CIPR Internal Communication Certificate is the only qualification for internal communicators awarded by a chartered institute and it is the first time it has been run in the Channel Islands.
CIPR Channel Islands chairman, Steve Falla, said the importance of internal communications is sometimes overlooked by businesses.
“Employees are a significant stakeholder group for any organisation and communicating effectively can foster a motivated, informed workforce. All six of those who undertook the course in the Channel Islands passed and should be applauded for their hard work. CIPR qualifications enhance the professionalism of our industry and give those taking part a path to continual development,” he said.
