CHANNEL ISLAND FUELS LIMITED URGES CUSTOMERS TO ‘BE PREPARED’ AND ORDER EARLY THIS WINTER

With the festive season fast approaching, and only weeks until Christmas, Channel Island Fuels Limited (CIFL), local distributor of heating oils and fuels to Guernsey and Jersey, is urging local homes and businesses reliant on oil for heating and hot water, to think ahead this winter season.

CIFL has started its winter push to encourage customers to get their orders in early to ensure speedy delivery and avoid the traditional busy winter period before Christmas.

Ian English, Sales and Marketing Manager at Channel Island Fuels Limited, said: “Oil users need to be prepared ahead of the busy winter period as the demand for fuel rises dramatically once we reach December.

“While times are quiet, stocking up on oil can be the last thing on a customer’s mind, but ordering well in advance is not only beneficial, it’s advisable to ensure prompt deliveries rather than waiting until peak season when delivery slots can be a few days away.

The sentiment is also being extended to the Channel Island’s commercial businesses, whose diesel and gas oil requirements over the busy winter period should also be planned well in advance.

Ian continued: “It is paramount that commercial businesses ensure they have prepared for the festive season. The last thing we want to see is local businesses suffering any sort of disruption because they haven’t been able to receive their oil due to peak delivery schedules following a flood of orders which can extend our delivery window.”

For further information on boiler checks and to order oil, the friendly team at CIFL is available for all your fuel enquiries from 8.30am to 5pm Mon to Fri, on 01481 249151 (Guernsey) or 01534 725927 (Jersey).
