Jersey-based Aonghus Fraser, of Channel Island IT consultancy C5 Alliance, will be speaking at this year’s International SharePoint Conference London, which takes place from 23 to 25 April at the QEII Conference Centre in London.
Now in its fourth consecutive year, the event is highly regarded among independent SharePoint conferences and is the largest of its kind in Europe this year. Mr Fraser will be joining over 60 expert speakers from across the globe on the conference programme.
The event is designed to cover a wide range of bases and not only cater for IT professionals and SharePoint developers but also CEO’s, project managers, information workers and end-users.
Over the course of three days the conference is split in to seven unique solution-based tracks.
Mr Fraser will be contributing to the case study track titled “Delivering a Search-Driven User Experience with SharePoint and FAST.” The session aims to demonstrate how SharePoint and FAST technology can enhance users’ search experience, moving it beyond the use of accurate and known key-words to incorporate, for example, different word forms and synonyms.
This will include a live demo in which years of unstructured government records have been successfully analysed and indexed to form a user-friendly SharePoint interface driven by FAST search, making it easy to find relevant content.
‘I am looking forward to being a part of the conference again. SharePoint is a hugely powerful platform and can have such positive effects on businesses by fine-tuning their efficiency and ability to collaborate.
‘C5 Alliance have seen a huge surge in demand for SharePoint in the last couple of years across the Channel Islands and recently held seminars on each island to help demonstrate its importance,’ said Mr Fraser.
Mr Fraser’s session will take place on Wednesday 25 April from 15:00 – 16:00. Those interested in attending can register online at: http://www.internationalsharepointconference.com
