THE Brighter Futures’ Dads’ Club will be getting crafty this Christmas thanks to help from Hawksford.
The independent wealth structuring company has donated craft materials to Brighter Futures to make Christmas tree decorations.
Once made, the dads’ club, which Hawksford sponsors, and Brighter Futures’ other groups will provide some of the handmade decorations for the company to trim its office Christmas trees with.
The decorations will also be used for a Hawksford and Brighter Futures Christmas tree at St Peter’s Church Annual Christmas Tree Festival, which runs from Saturday 8 to Sunday 16 December.
‘The work done by Brighter Futures is largely unseen by the general public and thanks to its dedicated team, it really helps to turn families’ lives around. At Hawksford we are pleased to be able to support this charitable group for the long term. Christmas should be a magical time for families and so we wanted to help provide some sparkle,’ said Peter Murley, chief executive, Hawksford.
Brighter Futures works with 150 to 170 families each week, its motto is ‘Think Family’. The dads’ club is just one of the groups Brighter Futures runs. It works in partnership with the dads to provide them with a choice of activities and resources to engage with their children in a safe, relaxed environment. It takes place on the second Sunday of every month and is open to dads and male carers with children up to the age of eight years. Staff are on hand to offer support or advice if requested and to provide free bacon sandwiches, snacks and refreshments.
