The RBS International team get in the mood for the makeover

The Eastern Good Companions Club has enjoyed a mini-makeover with the help of employees from RBS International. Equipped with paint pots and paint brushes, a 20-strong team of Bank volunteers transformed the entrance foyer and lounge, while outside there those with green fingers tidied up and added new plants to the flower beds.

Jerry Whitsey, Chair of the Corporate Sustainability Board, RBS International, described it as an excellent project which involved a lot of hard work for the employees from the Bank’s Products and Marketing team:

“As part of our commitment to community banking, RBS International offers all employees the opportunity to take up to one or two day’s paid leave each year to spend volunteering. Smaller charities like the Good Companions Club are often overlooked, so the team were delighted to be able to help improve the surroundings for all those who attend.”

Angie Falle, Eastern Good Companions Club Manager, added:

“The current hall and lounge have not been decorated for some time, both were tired and dated. Our members use the club here as their home away from home and are delighted that their “home” has got a face lift – it’s a great start to spring 2014. We would like to thank the team from RBS International for choosing The Good Companions Club for a community project, one that will be enjoyed by many happy club users.”
