2012 charity total raised to be revealed at tonight’s presentation evening

The grand total raised as a result of the 2012 Itex-Rotary Trust walk will be announced tonight at the annual presentation evening.

This year’s Itex Walk Presentation Evening will be held at The Royal Yacht Hotel on Thursday 6th September at 7pm.

Local charities supported this year include the 10th Jersey (St Brelade) Scout Group, Jersey Cheshire Home and Jersey Trees for Life. In addition another 12 local organisations will benefit from the donations raised by the Walkers and their numerous
supporters.

Funds will be distributed to the selected charities at the presentation evening and will also celebrate the success of the Walkers who took part. Aurum of Jersey has once again kindly donated silver pins to be awarded to the youngest and oldest Walkers and the Walker that raises the most money.

The presentation of the awards will be made by the Lieutenant Governor, Sir John McColl.
